pARENTS
We not only want our website to be a resource for your student, but we also want to help you as a parent be informed on what is happening at the edge, and provide you with information that can help you stay up to date on what students are facing today. Everyday your student goes into a school that provides them opportunities and temptations that would shock and surprise most parents. We want you to be aware of what is out there tempting and trying your student. We know that if students are not receiving a positive influence from their parents, they are more susceptible to falling prey to situations that can have a deciding impact on the direction they take in life. Please feel free to navigate through our site, and to also call me anytime at our office to ask any questions you might have. Thank you for looking at our site.

- Who is the EDGE affiliated with?
- The EDGE is a branch of the student ministries at Cookeville First Assembly located on the corner of 22nd and Washington. The Senior Pastor is Bobby Davis. Our offices are open Monday - Friday from 9am-5pm.
- When is the EDGE open?
- The EDGE is open every Wednesday from 3pm-9pm when school is in session. When school is not is session that day or if it were canceled because of weather we open at 5pm-9pm. Our service begins at 6:45pm. The EDGE is host to the Cookeville Community Tutoring clinic which is free to any student in 9th-12th grade. The tutoring meets every Tuesday from 3:30pm-5:30pm.
- What is my student being taught?
- We teach the Bible to be the infallible Word of God. We believe Jesus is the only way to Heaven. I encourage each parent to stop in and listen on some Wednesday nights to make sure that we are presenting your student with a message that lines up with the word of God.
- My student wants to go on the trip but we can't afford it.
- We have scholarship opportunities available. You can download the scholarship application here. You can either drop it off our main church office or send it with your student on a Wednesday night.
- How is my student supervised?
- We have an adult leadership team that arrives on our campus every week and they monitor all of the students. We work very hard to ensure that your student is safe while on our campus. Each of our adult leaders has gone through background checks in order to confirm their ability to work with minors. We have a policy that no student is to be left alone with any adult at anytime.
- How can I get involved with the EDGE?
- In order to work in our adult leadership team we require that you attend our church. We have a ministry application at our main church campus that you must fill out and check "youth". After you have completed this application I will contact you for a meeting were we will discuss areas of interest and opportunities for your involvement. We would love to have you get involved in what we are doing!
