A Living Testimony
Daniel 6:26-27
26. "I decree that everyone throughout my kingdom should tremble with fear
before the God of Daniel. For he is the living God, and he will endure forever. His
kingdom will never be destroyed, and his rule will never end.
27. He rescues and saves his people; he performs miraculous signs and
wonders in the heavens and on earth. He has rescued Daniel from the power of
the lions."
NLT
King Dairus made the decree that you just read. My question is how did he know that God rescues and saves people? How did he know that God performs miracles? The answer [is simple] he saw people delivered and he saw miracles.
Although Daniel was a captive in a strange land, his devotion to God was unwavering. This devotion served as a living testimony that God was not only real but able to rescue Daniel from the mouths of lions, and perform many miracles.
The only way King Darius was to see the works of God was through faithful people. How exciting is to know that our living testimonies can and will have an impact on other people? If you are in a strange place or you are in new surroundings, take the time to testify about God and how wonderful he is. Strive to be faithful so God can use you to impact other people.
Have a blessed week!
